132 Lifting Each Other Up: Why I Created the Sanity-Saver Certificates

Hey there!

It’s been a while since you have heard from me. I have been very busy with family obligations, caring for a 90-year-old mother with dementia, and just creating a lot of programs and things behind the scenes.

While I’ve been showing up online in written form and in video form, I have not created a podcast in quite a while. So this was the first one in a while, and I wanted to make sure that I shared this one with you so that you would have an understanding of what I have been working on behind the scenes.

As you know, I am a wellness and retention strategist, an executive coach for Black and Brown women, and an AI integration specialist for small businesses.

In my role, I work with Black and Brown women, as well as companies and organizations, to try to identify, well-being programs that will help our Black and Brown women excel in the workplace regardless of what’s going on in their lives.

So I wanted to share with you a blog that I wrote.

Actually, it’s my newsletter on LinkedIn. If you’re not currently subscribed to the newsletter, you will want to do so so that you don’t miss out!

Today’s newsletter was titled Lifting Each Other Up: Why I Created the Sanity Saver Certificates. So maybe you don’t even know what the Sanity-Saver Certificates™are. Let me share that with you…

So in my quiet time, quiet time from the podcast, I have been working on creating the Corporate She-Roes Collection™. It is a collection of different certificates. There will be 5 different collections of certificates that will honor the unsung heroes in the corporate space. The things that Black and Brown women do every day but don’t get recognition for. These are things that we talk to each other about, right?

So when we’re having a bad day, either our work bestie will give us these kudos, in the hallway or if we’re having to go to lunch together, go for a walk, even when we’re just running to the bathroom. They see us in the bathroom, they see our sad look, they ask what’s wrong, then they give us these titles for being these ‘superheroes’ in the workplace.

I decided instead of it just instead of it just being 1 on 1 with me and my clients or me and my besties – my work besties and my, you know, lifetime besties – instead of us just supporting each other and doing it on a smaller scale, I decided to create these certificates, the Corporate She-Roes Collection™, and start with the Sanity-Saver Certificates™. Because if there is one thing that we need as Black and Brown women in the workplace, it is definitely some encouragement, our kudos.

We need to get our flowers while we’re still living. We need to understand and know that we’re being appreciated.

I’d like to share with you today, the newsletter Lifting Each Other Up: Why I Created the Sanity-Saver Certificates.
